Reading a chart
Flat measurements, in centimetres
- Check the unit and the kind of measurement.Product charts list flat garment widths; body charts list measurements around the body. They are not interchangeable.
- Lay a garment you like flat.Measure straight across the chest, armpit to armpit, without stretching the fabric. Our measuring guide walks through it.
- Compare with the chart for that exact product.Use the checker beside this text. A small difference is normal; fabric and cut vary between products.
- Ask if anything is missing. If a chart is absent or unclear, email the product and your measurement before ordering.
| Dimension | How to compare |
|---|---|
| Chest width | Straight across, armpit to armpit |
| Body length | Chart start point to the hem |
| Sleeve length | Check shoulder-seam or centre-back start |
Use the chart for the exact garment. Flat widths and body circumferences describe different measurements.

What this checker can’t tell you
- It compares two widths only. Length, sleeve and shoulder matter too.
- Remote advice can’t guarantee fit; the chart for the product controls.
- Fabric stretch and how you like clothes to sit are personal.
